OYO 8987 HD View Point

We didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the meals. The staff were supportive, and the two rooms we booked, 106 and 107, worked well for two couples from two families. They share one broad attached balcony, where we spent most of our time enjoying the valley and mountain views, especially in the morning. The room felt more like a big one-bedroom flat than a regular room. Getting there takes a 300-metre trek unless you have a vehicle and good driving skills. The access road is steep and narrow, though parking at the hotel was easy.

For two people, it was a good stay for under Rs 1,000. The views are lovely and it's peaceful, though the hotel sits off the main road. Getting there means a steep climb on a bike, and the road is narrow for cars. Google Maps didn't mark the place accurately either. The geyser was available, but the Wi-Fi and TV might not work. Hotel food felt expensive for the small portions. Still, decent value at this budget.

The balcony on the first floor has a great view, and the hotel was neat and clean with decent room service. Having your own transport makes the stay ideal. Without it, you'll need to walk about 2 km to catch a local bus. The property is around 2 km from Bhowali Bus Stand, and about 11 km from both Kainchi Dham and Mall Road.

The views here are hard to beat, and the staff and owner were very supportive. The rooms were spacious for my mother and me, and the food felt home cooked. Nearby are Bhimtal, Sattal, Kainchi Dham, and Ghorakhal. We stayed two nights and had a nice experience. I arrived from Delhi at 7 pm after checking with OYO and the owner Rachit, who both guided me well. From Bhowali Chowk, there's a turnoff and then a roughly 300-metre one-way climb on a 40-45 degree slope. An SUV can fit, but drive carefully. The owner helped me park. I was initially unsure because it is 12 km from Nainital Mall Road, especially as I was travelling with my mother. I took some photos during the stay.
