The only real advantage is the location, near the bus station, railway station, and Ooty Lake. Choosing it just for that still feels like a risk, and I wouldn’t expect a happy vacation stay. The rooms were dirty and in very poor condition, with no basic facilities even in the Deluxe room. The front office guy seemed like a complete fraud, so make sure you get documents when you book and pay an advance.

Bedbugs kept us awake the whole time, and we barely slept. The rooms weren’t great either. Whenever we went outside, there was a bad smell near the corner where the place is.

The staff were courteous, simple, and listened when we complained. The location is the main plus. Otherwise, the old building looks like it’s been dressed up with Oyo boards and upholstery. There’s no lift, and my room wasn’t fully clean on arrival. The TV looked too small for the room, and the restaurant didn’t look appealing, though I didn’t eat there. For the money, it wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t pay more than Rs. 1000/night.

The stay was nice and very affordable for middle class people. The staff were supportive, and the owner was humble and willing to help. They also have travel services and a restaurant. The main bus stop and railway station are just a short distance away.
