The rooms felt like dungeons, with dirty sheets and curtains and no cleaning or welcome kit at all. Prices are high for this kind of place. I stayed in the same hotel two years ago, when the staff were courteous and I paid half as much for the same room. Ooty hotels seem to be charging far too much for below-average rooms. The people running them have become greedy and show no conscience. I wish people would stop visiting Ooty.
A quiet, cozy place in Ooty, with spacious rooms and plenty of parking for bikes. The beds were clean and well kept, and the washroom had shower gel and other toiletries. The manager was polite and brought us extra items whenever we asked. I'd recommend it for a group of 4-6 people.
The location is nice and close to everything, and I liked the room. But when I was checking out, an employee asked for a fixed room service charge of 500. I was shocked because they hadn't told me about this cost when I checked in. That was disappointing.
The staff member we dealt with was very polite to us and the other guests. To call reception, the telephone number is 111. It's near Ganapathi Theatre in Upper Bazar in Ooty. The road going up is a bit steep, so it could be hard for someone with leg pain. There are auto stands nearby, as well as several small vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants. A calm, peaceful stay in Ooty. The rooms were clean and neat, with hot water and good amenities. It's in the city centre, with easy access to restaurants and a cinema, and it's convenient for visiting tourist spots. The staff were friendly.
