The valley view from this location is breathtaking, and the cottages are spaced out for privacy. Our group of four friends was back on the road after eight months and wanted to have fun and roam around. The two-bedroom cottage facing the valley suited us well, and we had a great time. We stayed in “primrose,” though getting to it involves going down and back up. You can drive to its doorstep, but getting back up isn't possible without spinning the wheels, so it may not suit older or sick people. A 4*4 would have helped. The location alone gets five stars from me. The rooms need some basic fixtures: each had only one light, a tube light, which I hate. The WiFi and heaters were there but didn't work, and the bathrooms were basic. If you notice details, the floors need a thorough wash and the couch needs proper cleaning. Service could improve. It looked like they were short-staffed, with just one guy running around and a security guard helping him. The food we ordered tasted good, but choices were limited. They charged us for eggs even with breakfast. Still, we had a good time staring at the valley all day. The staff and manager were friendly, and for the price it was worth it.

The resort sits among a tea garden, with colourful flowers, greenery, fresh air and scenic views all around. It has a peaceful natural feel, especially in the early morning, and is a lovely setting for photos. We visited Planters Punch Resort, Ooty as a family of four adults and one child, booking two rooms for two days. Mr. Vivek at the front office was polite and helpful. He patiently answered our questions and treated us respectfully. Breakfast had decent options, and the hospitality overall was satisfactory. Our stay was good apart from a few issues: the rooms need better upkeep and regular cleaning, we didn't have a TV or WiFi in our rooms, and dinner was average. With cleaner, better-maintained rooms and improved dinner, the resort could offer an even better stay. It's a nice, peaceful Ooty option for families who enjoy nature. 🌿🌸

The resort is set in a scenic tea estate, and you can walk through the gardens for photos. We enjoyed the accommodation and the sunrise from our villa at Planter’s Punch Resort, Ooty. Breakfast was a good South Indian buffet. Dinner was tasty, especially the butter chicken, though I’d have liked more vegetarian choices. The soups were okay. Staff were polite and helpful. WiFi worked in the restaurant, but not in the villa. A very pleasant stay, and I'd recommend it.

The manager deserves a big shoutout. At 8 PM we were stranded on the main road, 2km away, with no transport and a dark forest around us. He came himself in a hotel cab and picked us up, which really saved us when we didn't know what to do. We stayed one night on Feb 7, and everything else was flawless: super clean rooms, food that was a solid 4/5, and honestly mental sunrise and sunset views. Incredible hospitality and a beautiful stay. Highly recommend. Here are some pictures.

We came to Ooty for our second anniversary after I found this lovely property on Instagram. It was peaceful, calm and surrounded by natural beauty, with great views and a lovely location. Special thanks to Mr. Jibin Matthew Sir and his helpers, who helped my husband arrange a surprise and get a cake from the main market. The food was good and service was good too. I'd like more and better vegetarian choices on the menu, and some fruit at breakfast. The receptionist could also be warmer and friendlier.
