OYO 3221 Forest View Cottage

The property itself was fine, but the staff made the stay tense from start to finish. They kept interfering in our personal matters and came into our room several times without proper notice or a valid reason. We never felt comfortable. They also questioned us about alcohol in a way that felt inappropriate and unnecessary. Guests deserve privacy and respect, and this felt like highly unprofessional conduct. I’d advise people to think twice about booking unless management improves the staff’s behavior and basic hospitality.

After a long day exploring Ooty, this was a great place to crash. The new rooms were spotless and well arranged, and I slept really well. In the evening they set up a barbecue and campfire with a good speaker for music. The spot felt very safe and laid-back. Staff were polite and even sorted vehicles for our sightseeing. Special thanks to Vishal Anna, who was so chill and helpful. It felt more like staying at my cousin’s home than a hotel. Highly recommended!

We had to leave early even though we’d booked two days, because the problems made the stay so inconvenient, especially with kids. The geysers were switched off, so there was no hot water, and nobody had warned us beforehand. Towels and soap weren’t provided either, service was extremely poor, and the receptionist was rude. They call this a 3-star hotel, but to us it didn’t meet even 1-star standards. I strongly recommend avoiding it if you want a peaceful, comfortable stay.

The road leading to Forest view cottage really needs improvement. Still, we had a comfortable four-day family stay in Ooty, with good hospitality and room service. It was an amazing experience overall.
