It's a peaceful place to relax, with nice views, though it's a long way from Ooty town. There isn't any food served in the room, so you'll have to cook or buy something yourself. The rooms need maintenance too. Upstairs, the bed was in poor condition and the bathroom floor was covered with water.

The house has a lovely structure, and the cool, quiet morning air was refreshing for the whole day. Still, getting there is a problem: it's far from Ooty, tourists really need a car, the entrance road is bad, and there's no covered parking. We had to leave our car 100 metres from the house, and it felt a little costly. This also didn't seem to be an authorised OYO room, more like a private two-floor house. At night, customer support was very poor. We tried to cancel for the next day and got no response. A disappointing stay, and a polite request to take this feedback seriously.

The room we got after arriving was awful and, to me, not even worth Rs. 500, yet OYO charged Rs. 1916. The photos posted by OYO showed a fake version of the room and we felt cheated. I didn't like what we were given, so I asked OYO to cancel and refund the booking, number QICV2495. Instead, we were left with a terrible room and misleading photos.

The room was budget friendly, though it's a bit far from Ooty town. When I stayed in September 2019, it was due for repainting and needed general maintenance. The room boy said they'd take care of the work before the next season.

The caretaker was friendly and helpful, and the room itself was really nice, with a lovely view. They also have a kitchen, so you can cook for yourself.
