There’s a peaceful atmosphere here, and being near Auroville was a real plus for us. The people were friendly, and water and a kitchen were available. The washrooms were tidy, though the water came through very slowly, and the rooms are not 🚭. You also pay 200 per person to use the small pool. There isn’t much privacy since voices carry between neighboring rooms. I’d say it may suit a single young adult, but families should avoid it. If these things work for you, the rest is fine.

Please check carefully before booking and don’t rely on Instagram. The host’s booking practice concerned me: after I booked through Booking.com, where free cancellation was shown, the owner called and demanded a non-refundable ₹5,000 advance to confirm. That requirement wasn’t clearly disclosed upfront. The photos of Time Travellers give a misleading impression. It’s built in another hotel’s parking area beside a very busy road, with little privacy. The rooms and dorm feel like temporary units in the lot, the dorm is old, and the rooms lack basic amenities. The pool is tiny, and paid access for outside visitors leaves it crowded and uncomfortable. The focus seems to be on maximizing revenue over guest comfort.

For ₹1500 for a non-AC room or ₹2500 for AC, this place didn’t offer basic comfort. There were no towels, hand wash, doormat, or even a stand, and the tap water ran extremely slowly. The room had lots of mosquitoes and lizards. There’s also no privacy, with people in nearby rooms easily hearing you and you hearing them. It didn’t feel safe or secure to me, especially for couples or families, who I’d advise to avoid it. At these prices, there are much better nearby options.

We booked just one night because it’s close to Auroville, and that’s the only real advantage. We had a child with us, but there was no power backup, poor ventilation, and no cleanliness. The pool is tiny and costs 200 rs per person, which is ridiculous. There was nothing else that made us want to stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to a family or couple. The location is also close to Ashram, but I’d suggest checking tribo or zostel, or verifying every detail before booking nearby.
