Hotel SK Executive

The rooms were in good shape, and the white sheets, towels, and toilets were good too. I liked the small balcony and the peaceful view. The hotel is okay for its budget, but it's out on the edge of the city with no shops nearby, and the road from the highway is rough. There is private parking, though. The lift is small, with a shutter gate and room for four. The room telephone didn't work, and the TV had no HD channels. We ordered food from nearby restaurants. Cabs take a long time to get there. These are things to keep in mind if staying in August.

Room service wasn't very good. They seem to look after people who come directly to ask for a room, while guests booking through other sites may need to contact the provider in advance. I had a bad experience, though it might not happen to everyone. Try speaking to the service staff first. If you plan to arrive between 11 am and 12 noon, check the early check-in charge, since they ask for 300 or more. The hotel does offer privacy, but I can't say much else about it. It seems mostly suited to couples.

The owner was friendly and cooperative, and the room was clean with hot water available all day. The place is slightly tucked away, but only 50 m from pune kolhapur highway, so it's handy if you're travelling. I didn't try the food, though it looked good. There's no restaurant in the hotel, so they bring food from a nearby hotel. The owner seems a bit negative about oyo. I'd suggest booking through oyo with the option to pay at the hotel.

The food wasn't fresh, and the sambar smelled bad. The balcony was dirty and crammed with old furniture. The rooms had mosquitoes and cockroaches, and were so dirty and unhygienic that I have pictures to show it. There was no doormat or dustbin either. I can't understand how this hotel has a 4 rating. I had a horrible stay, and OYO assistance didn't offer a solution. It feels like OYO doesn't check or maintain properties properly before giving them out.
