OYO 47178 Pakko Inn

It was hard to find the hotel, and the contact number didn't work. The receptionist wasn't at his assigned spot and only showed up after a while. The room was in very poor condition, with hygiene and cleanliness badly lacking. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a decade. Dust and dirt covered the ceiling fan, so I didn't use it. Some switches didn't work, the TV remote was unusable, and both the AC and its remote were malfunctioning. The bedsheet and towel were stained. There was no drinking water in the room. In the bathroom, the bucket was damaged, the flush pipe wasn't connected to the WC, and the floor trap was clogged. Water flow and pressure weren't enough for the health faucet to work. An unattended mattress was left under the bed, and packets of personal health products were scattered around the room, which was embarrassing. There was no room service.

The room itself was clean and had no bad smell. The bed was comfortable, though the sheets were a little old. Breakfast was mediocre, and after the check-in experience I wasn't expecting much. I'd messaged through Oyo that I would arrive at 2am, but there was no receptionist at the desk when I got there. I found him asleep in a room with the door half open. I knocked more than 10 times and he still wouldn't wake up. I could hear him breathing heavily, so I didn't call 100 for help. The property manager had to call someone else to wake this receptionist Kumbhakarna. It seemed to take special skills. Then the receptionist took 20 minutes to check me in with sleepy eyes. The listing also said free WiFi, but there was no internet access.

I paid online for an OYO booking, but when I arrived at 10pm they asked me to pay an extra ₹.800 as an offline charge. They claimed OYO had listed it by mistake. I had urgent work and no time to argue, so I stayed one night with my friends. There was no water service in the room all night, and nobody responded when we raised issues. The service and behavior were very poor.

The staff were rude and didn't treat us properly. They also wanted extra money on top of the online booking price, and weren't flexible about check-in or check-out. The hotel is in a slum area of Pune. I wouldn't recommend it.
