The Pinnacle by FabHotels

The place looks shabby and used, and needs better maintenance. The photos uploaded online give a misleading impression. Even the towels and bed linen look grey rather than white. Staff training and supervision need attention too: they make mistakes, then know how to smoke and apologize. Is that enough? This was much below what I expected.

The food was pathetic, and there was no sanitization of either the rooms or luggage. None of the staff wore masks. The manager was very rude. He had apparently been a rowdy before changing professions, but not his attitude. Complain about anything and you'll soon regret choosing this place, he seemed to imply. I'd read the negative comments about the manager and booked anyway. I soon realized that was a mistake. If you want to spend money and get insulted, book here. Choose carefully.

We paid 3500 for three people, but the service felt like it belonged in a hotel costing under Rs.500. They said the room would be ready in 20 minutes, yet even after we came back two hours later it still wasn't prepared. Once we got in, there were no towels, glasses, pillows, or hot kettle, and the extra bed hadn't been set up either. They brought it only after we asked several times. There was hardly anyone to help. Very bad service.

The hotel is good, and so is the location. Room service was good too. Breakfast tasted nice, though there weren't many choices compared with other hotels of the same standard. One suggestion: serve RO water in a steel jug instead of reusing old water bottles. The self-treated RO water is much better than packed water.
