Hotel Golden Crown

The person there was great, humble, and helpful, and the location is very good. But the property is old, untidy, and not maintained. The toilets and rooms look as if they haven’t been cleaned in ages.

I paid 1117 for one night and didn’t get soap or a towel. There was no backup light, and we had no light at all through the night. The WiFi was also missing. The door lock didn’t work properly, and the owner was useless, good for nothing. I booked a room advertised with a balcony and a view, but only one person could stand on that balcony, with no room for a chair. Don’t book a room here.

Good value for money, with educated staff and smiling faces. It’s near the ganga river. What more do you need!

For the price and location, this was a real hidden gem, and we had a good time during our five nights there. Our first-floor room had a balcony and windows on two sides, plus a wardrobe, desk, and chair. The bathroom was spacious and everything worked. Since the hotel is set back from the street, it was quiet and we slept well. Everything was clean, and the bed had covers for the mattress, pillow, and blanket, which really isn’t typical in India. The owners were always friendly and polite. Just remember it’s a budget hotel, so you can’t compare it with a European hotel.
