Banni Khera Farm Resort

The owner’s enthusiasm and knowledge really stood out during my visit to Banni Khera Farm ,Samargopalpur for work. He welcomed me warmly and showed me around the whole property. The open grounds and peaceful pond made it easy to feel connected to nature, and the farmhouse is kept in lovely condition. It’s a hidden gem if you’re nearby, and I’d recommend stopping in.

The approach is a nice brick lane, wide enough for one car, with water on both sides that makes the setting pretty. There aren’t any signboards by the property, though Google Maps gets you to the point where you leave the road. It’s a homely spot for a short visit, with tasty homemade food and wonderful hospitality.

The owner is very warm and serves home-cooked food, but you need to give at least 6 hours’ notice if you want a particular preparation. Finding the property is a real challenge: there’s no signboard, and even from 20 meters away it’s hard to know if you’re there. Without Google Maps it would be impossible to reach. The rooms and bathrooms also didn’t seem hygienic.

Kunwar ji was a wonderful host and really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. It’s a great place to get a taste of farm life. I’m looking forward to coming back.
