Hotel Sukhrup Sangli

My stay was good apart from two odd problems. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, though I had a full 5G signal as a fallback. Also, once hot water started flowing, it came from the basin, shower, and taps, with no cold water available. I don’t know why, but it happened in both rooms I stayed in, and the water was extremely hot.

Breakfast was part of the stay, with poha, idli, vada, chutney, upma, and tea or coffee. We only stayed one night, and it was comfortable, pleasant, and economical. The room had plenty of space for three people, with a king-size bed, drawers, and storage. They provided a kettle for hot water when we asked. I can’t say whether there’s enough parking for cars, but we had no trouble.

The service staff were friendly and the rooms were kept in good shape, as they were on our earlier visit too. Mr Vaidya, who I think is the manager, was the exception. He was rude, didn’t respond properly, and didn’t even smile at guests. We had the same experience during our previous stay. I hope the owner takes notice and gives him better training in hotel management. Thank you.

Sangli is a nice place to stay, and the rooms here are spacious and good. When I visited, though, the restaurant was closed for three days, and room service could be better. Hot water usually seems to be the issue in hotels, but here it was cold water: both bathroom mixer taps and the basin tap only gave hot water.
