We spent time walking and cycling around the property between safaris, which was fun, and many ingredients came from the lodge’s own fruit and vegetable gardens. The food was probably my favourite part, especially the little touches like paw prints on my cappuccino and the cookies. Our rooms were comfortable, with lovely river views, spacious bathrooms, and excellent amenities. We arrived on their river boat cruise from Tawa Dam and were greeted by a breathtaking sunset. The staff were warm, and the naturalists knew so much about birds, insects, and wildlife that very little escaped their notice. I can’t wait to return to Pugdundee’s Denwa Backwater Lodge in Satpura. It was a deeply enriching, mindful stay.

The safaris were a real highlight, with beautiful scenery and a passionate, knowledgeable naturalist. You can also take a boat safari. Back at the lodge, our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a fantastic view. The food was freshly prepared and excellent, with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients. The service felt warm, attentive, and professional. It’s a wonderfully peaceful riverside spot, surrounded by nature, with langurs and wild boars around.

A surprise family dinner in the bush, with beautiful lanterns and seriously yummy food, made this adventurous safari stay so memorable. We also had a high-quality naturalist, Swadesh. Thank you for such a fantastic family visit.

Our group enjoyed every moment at **Denwa Back Water Resort**. The place was beautifully maintained and very clean, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout. The food was delicious, and the hospitality and service were amazing. We’ll definitely come back!

The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, and the service was amazing. Special mention to Prashant (manager), Kshitij (naturalist), and Samir (dining). I’d love to visit again.
