Hotel Shorya Regency Shimla

The rooms were horrible. The bedsheets still had stains after they were changed, and the washrooms were blocked and too dirty to bathe in. It was also in a very dirty area and hardly possible to reach easily. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. My experience was horrible, and I hope this helps someone.

The place was hard to find, and the area around it was covered in monkey poop. The rooms were dirty and nothing like the pictures. In all three rooms we had, there were little patches of hair around the beds, as if the bedding hadn’t been washed. The sheets had yellow, red, and brown stains, and the blankets smelled really bad. A horrible experience in every way.

The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from Mall Road, and the price is nominal. The rooms are a bit cramped, with small beds and a clumsy washroom. There were water supply problems and the power sockets didn’t work properly. The owner’s behavior wasn’t good, he seemed egoistic. Nobody helped with luggage at check in or check out. Check the room before paying the rent.

After a long journey I was exhausted and felt I had no choice but to check into the most substandard rooms I’ve ever encountered. I booked through goibibo and paid a premium of 4000 per room, hoping to relax after a very strenuous week. It turned into the most horrendous experience of my life. I hope other goibibo customers don’t have to deal with such a huge gap between what’s shown and what’s real.
