The White Haven Homestay I Rooms & Kitchen

I spent about 2 weeks here and found it comfortable, with efficient staff and scenic views from the rooms. The chef prepared tasty food and served it warm, from the menu's available choices. There's enough covered parking for guests. The place is lovely and tranquil, away from city crowds and traffic, and I'd recommend it to friends and family.

My stay was comfortable, and the suite room had a top notch balcony view. The staff, location, and room were also great. The breakfast was okay, nothing special. We tried the Mutton curry, but the meat was tough and fatty. Maybe that's how it's made in the region, I'm not sure. My bus to Delhi was at 9 PM, so I asked to pay for half board and stay a little longer, perhaps until 4 or 5 PM. I was told I'd have to pay the full day charge. I may be wrong, but I thought the homestay was empty and we were the only occupants, so I couldn't see why half day payment couldn't have been arranged. They could have been more accommodating.

The rooms were big and beautiful, with marvellous views, and the food was freshly cooked and excellent. Staff were hospitable, and everything was very well organised for the new year party, including a bonfire and great live music. I'd definitely consider this property instead of any five star hotel.

The staff were very helpful and made the place feel like home. Rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had a view. Still, considering the other reviews, I think it's highly over rated. At this price, you could get a suite room in a 4 star hotel, which I would have preferred. Before choosing, ask yourself if you're okay with a limited food menu during limited hours, eating at a common dining table with others, and staying 300 rs taxi away from mall road. If those things suit you, the stay is peaceful and good.
