Hotel Bengal International

We had booked two rooms for four people, and both were in the same poor condition. None of the pictures matched what the rooms actually looked like. There were paan stains everywhere, and the pillowcases, bedsheets, and covers were unwashed, with stains and stray hair. The staff asked us to change the covers ourselves because they were short-staffed. Without doing that, we couldn't have slept on the beds as they were. The washroom wasn't up to standard, and there was no waste bin or tissues in the room. Our checkout was at 4:30 a.m. with lots of luggage, but the lift wasn't working. The room phone line was disconnected, and we were told the previous guests must have disconnected it.

Dirty corridors and gutka stains on the walls made the place feel unhygienic, and there were visible cleanliness problems in the room too. The room condition was poor, with no amenities, and basic maintenance seemed lacking. It made the stay uncomfortable and fell far below expectations. With better housekeeping and stricter cleanliness standards, the place could improve. Honest feedback, in the hope it gets better.

The rooms and location are good, and parking is available. But I stayed for 3 days and was disturbed all 3 days by a housekeeping sweeper aunty. She kept knocking and banging on the door until we opened it, even when we were resting and didn't want to. As soon as we opened up, she asked for money or tea. It's shameful that she asks like this, as if the hotel incharge isn't paying their fees.

There was no cleaning, wine bottles were all over, and there were so many mosquitoes. They didn't even provide a free water bottle, and there was no kettle. We left as early as 5 am. It seemed more like a place for alcholers than for a family or couple.
