The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were really nice and friendly. We stayed one night on our way to Sikkim, then another night on the return. It’s right opposite the station.
The tap water was muddy and not clean. Otherwise, the location is good and very close to the bus stop.
The hotel has its own kitchen, but only serves vegetarian food. It seems the property once had good business and facilities, though it doesn’t look as busy now. Renovation is urgently needed to attract people. Still, it’s a good hotel in a prime location, and my overall experience was good. Recommended.
It’s close to the station, and the staff are friendly, but at Rs. 1700 a night it doesn’t feel like good value. The geyser didn’t work, tap water was muddy, and there was no tea or dental kit. The funniest thing was a rate chart behind the door listing Rs. 200 for staining the bed and Rs. 50 for breaking a glass. It’s okay if you need a spot right by the junction, but there are better options for the same price.
The staff are friendly and well behaved. If you need to stay close to the junction, it’s fair enough, but there aren’t proper amenities: no phone to call reception, no water glasses in the room, a leaking geyser, lights that didn’t work, and a broken water boiler. No bathroom slippers either.
