Hotel Suktara International

The room was big, and room service was good. The food also seemed hygienic and tasted good. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The road to the hotel beside the railway station was dirty and unhygienic, enough to put me off coming back. Cockroaches were crawling in the mattress, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom too.

I remember the guest rooms at this hotel in siliguri being really good. The food tastes great, and service is very fast, with room service available 24/7.

The balcony was beautiful, and the place felt homely. The manager was friendly and made sure there was no harassment. We had a great experience as intercontinental guests. The hotel looks gorgeous, and the service reflects “Atithi devo bhava.” Special thanks to Prasant Alam sir.

The location is a real plus, right beside Siliguri Junction Railway Station and about 50 metres from Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand. I stayed in a Deluxe room, which was spacious, clean, and nicely arranged, with a double bed, bedside tables, TV, Split AC, work desk and revolving chair, plus a tea table and open wall clothes stand. Room service was good and easy to request through the intercom. The desk had two 750 ML water bottles, coffee and milk powder sachets, tea bags, a kettle, jug, and glasses. The room looked good, and the food was good too. The washroom was clean, though it could use some maintenance. The door lock didn't work, so I used the bolts, and there were small black stains around the shower pores. The toiletries were poor, just one Clinic Plus sachet and a very small soap. For what the hotel charges, spending another Rs 50/- or Rs 100/- on a better set seems deserved. Hot water is controlled centrally, not room by room. It wasn't on when I needed it, so I had to call reception, and they switched it on. It should be kept on all the time, as in a proper 3 star hotel.
