OYO 13754 Brindawan Hotel and Resorts

It’s nice to have a resort like this in the local area, and the setting is good. The road in is in really poor condition, though, and there’s no lighting along it. Also, it costs too much for middle-class guests.

There’s lots of parking, and children can play on the lawns in front of the cottages. The place is quiet, on the edge of Siliguri and right beside the jungle, with a lovely, calming view. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the food. The peaceful, natural setting could make for a memorable visit for couples too.

The green grounds, cottages, and swimming pool make this a good spot for weddings or conferences, and the staff were very good. At night, you might come across elephants, and the atmosphere then is quite exciting.

The room service was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend this property. When I arrived with my tired family, they refused to honor my OYO booking for about Rs 2.2k and asked for Rs 3k instead. Since it was late, I paid the extra. They charged separately for morning tea too, and anything beyond the one breakfast choice, Poori Sabji, costs extra. The room was dirty and in terrible shape, the washbasin leaked, and the quilts and bedding smelled. It felt like the place had been set up for wedding bookings and was now also being rented through OYO.
