For anyone planning a large group booking, please read this. We arranged a wedding at the hotel for 22-01-2026 to 23-01-2026 and booked 42 rooms. The rooms were clean and fine, and the food tasted decent, though breakfast options were limited. But the event was badly managed, particularly by MR KALIDAS, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel for a large group. Rooms were promised by 12 pm on day one, but guests weren’t assigned rooms until 2:30 pm. We’d arranged breakfast for people arriving by train at 9 am, but staff removed it while guests were still eating, and we had to argue to get food. They’d said they would provide lockers for valuables, but no room had a working locker. After a guest’s valuable jewellery was forgotten, the hotel said a relative had retrieved it, but it was later found in a reception drawer. We had to check CCTV. The pool was completely dry. During planning, every room assignment or basic request took repeated follow-ups, with no single point of contact taking ownership. We’d arranged to use the hall for the Haldi function, but they refused to clean it and said that was the decorator’s job. I hope the owners and management take a close look at how the place is currently run.

The hotel is near the railway station, but it’s in an awkward location and I wouldn’t say it’s worth staying at. You can find a much better place, and there aren’t any attractions nearby for tourists. One of our main reasons for booking was that the hotel advertised itself as pure veg. It turned out not to be, which was extremely disappointing. Serving mixed food isn’t the issue, but why advertise false information? That alone says a lot about the hospitality. When I asked the management, they said there was no solution and told me to check out and go elsewhere. The response was surprising and extremely rude, especially from the restaurant manager. Poor experience.

Finding a place a short walk from Madgaon railway station made getting around so easy. The location is incredibly convenient, and I’m really glad I found it. Definitely a keeper.

The hotel was very good, with tasty food in the dine-in area, quick service, and helpful support. I’d recommend staying here. The only thing they need to sort out is pest control. I saw small cockroaches in the room and the reception seating area. Everything else was good.

Hotel Laxmi Empire was one of the best stays of my Goa trip. The rooms were clean, maintenance was good, and the professional staff kept everything well managed. Service was prompt, and the hospitality really stood out. A wonderful experience.
