Fabhotel Lotus I

Great location and really good service.

We arrived at 2 AM on 18th October 2024 at Fab Hotel Lotus 1, Surat, and the hygiene throughout was shocking. The rooms were filthy and unsanitary, and the toilets had brown stains that made them look like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The receptionist refused to arrange housekeeping, saying there was no staff available at that hour. Customer care was no help either. When I asked to change the booking to one day, they showed no support. As a senior citizen, I tried to take photos to document the condition. The receptionist responded aggressively and abusively, and acted violently. We were very distressed by the whole ordeal. The service fell far below a reasonable standard, and I believe the company breached its contractual obligations. I didn’t stay there and will never consider another Fab Hotel property. I demand an immediate full refund of the INR 3000 advance payment for a service that was never provided. The rooms and location are good, but they don’t allow visitors in hotel rooms. I was alone there for office work and needed to meet and sit with my colleagues, but they wouldn’t let them in. That was very disappointing, and I’ll never stay at that hotel again.

I’m sharing this genuine feedback because FAB should take it seriously. On our first day, as soon as we reached reception, the receptionist demanded the full amount. When I asked why, he said, “badme guest pareshan karta hai and also fab hotel se baat karlo,hamara matter nahi hai”. That was a bad start, and it made me wonder what else was coming. Early check-in cost extra, even though rooms were available, and we had to pay immediately. The rooms were the opposite of what I’d hoped for: dirty and smelly, with pale yellow bedsheets and cigarette butts lying around. I also didn’t feel comfortable there with family. I saw many couples checking in, and I understand the hotel is described as couple friendly. The one good thing was that they responded promptly when we asked for tea or water. The hotel is near the station, but not at the address listed. It’s 3.5 kms from the station. The correct address is jogniya Mata temple,magdalla road, udana neher, above Mahindra showroom.
