Varma Palace By OYO Rooms

I’d already paid for my booking through booking, com when I arrived, but the reception staff said the rate was too low and refused to give me a room. They were rude, didn’t apologize, and just turned me away without caring how I’d find somewhere else. They also said they couldn’t refund the money and told me to contact booking.com. I travel solo and have stayed in some of the remotest places, including hanley leh meghalaya, without ever facing this. They seem money-minded and have no empathy. Cheap and rude people are running this place. I strongly don’t recommend it.

Wi-fi was good, but you can only use it for four hours a day. The corridors are cramped, the staff unprofessional, and the TV has only free cable channels. Still, the breakfast was good, the electrical equipment worked, and the small bathroom was clean. All rooms have two double beds, so it’s decent value for money.

It’s a clean, pleasant budget hotel and good value for the price. Breakfast was disappointing, just one item, poha, though that’s what I expected at this rate.

I've stayed here a couple of times on business trips. The service is good, the environment is clean and hygienic, and the staff have a good attitude. Good value for money.
