Hotel Friends Club Resort & Restaurant

We stopped on Jan 7 to rest while driving from Haridwar, and it turned into a bad experience. The person attending to us was kind, but the manager was rude, mean, and not helpful. The food service was poor. Our dal fry and aloo paratha were both messed up, and we could barely eat them. The rooms were unclean, the washroom wasn’t maintained well, and the wash basin tap was loose and needed urgent repair. Even if you need a place in a hurry, I’d avoid this one. You can drive another 15-20kms to find good hotels.

Everything else was fine when I attended a wedding here and stayed a few months ago, but hygiene was a real problem in both the rooms and halls. After one day the bathrooms were filthy, water supply was poor, and room service was almost nonexistent during the wedding and afterward. It felt like they treated the place only as a wedding hall and forgot guests were staying in the hotel.

The contemporary interiors looked nice, and all the dishes arrived quickly. We had honey chilly potato, red sauce pasta, veg momos, and manchurian with gravy. Everything was delicious and nicely presented, though the red sauce pasta was so spicy we needed a soft drink to handle it. Next time we’ll ask them beforehand to make it milder. We celebrated our friend's birthday there, and it was a huge hit with us. A great experience otherwise.

There wasn’t even a zero-star option. They denied our Agoda booking, leaving us in a terrible bind with a small child. I believe the hotel and Agoda are both involved in fraud. I informed Agoda, but they still haven’t taken action. Don’t go there.
