The Hermitage Kanatal

Ranbeer’s fantastic management helped make this a wonderful stay, and I’m grateful to Mr Bhatia for the experience. The reception and housekeeping teams were kind, helpful, and punctual. Sarvesh really stood out with the meals, making each one a delight and never disappointing. Dinesh and Manoj were just as attentive, often thinking ahead about what we might need. All our needs were met with real dedication. Great food and genuinely caring hospitality. Would visit again.

It’s easy to miss this place tucked into Kanatal, unless the building’s color catches your eye. Once inside, though, it’s a warm and welcoming stay. Mr. Bhatia put a lot of effort into making us comfortable, and the courteous staff were always around to help. We were very satisfied with what we ordered. The old-school room had a fantastic view of the forest and distant mountains, which made it easier to switch off from daily life. I’d recommend it for the atmosphere and hospitality, and hope to come back soon.

I originally booked just a few days at The Hermitage Kanatal, then decided to extend my trip. It’s a gorgeous spot among the lush mountain forests, and the friendly, polite staff went out of their way to make me comfortable. My room was clean and airy, and the electric blanket on the bed felt like such a luxury in the hills. The food was impeccable, with plenty of variety on the menu. There was electricity backup for emergencies, plus hot and cold running water at the taps, so I didn’t run into the water shortages you can sometimes get in the hills. I’ve travelled solo a lot and was impressed by the amenities. The bonfire nights with music on chilly evenings were lovely too. Had a wonderful stay and will recommend it. Thank you.

The owner’s staring made the restaurant visit feel hostile and uncomfortable, almost intimidating. I was there to enjoy a meal, not feel watched as though I’d done something wrong. The service was slow and unprofessional, and his behavior felt invasive and disrespectful. The owner and staff need to learn basic courtesy toward paying customers. I’m absolutely not coming back.
