The Elephant Court Resort

The food was delicious and nicely presented, and thanks to the restaurant chef and dining team for the hospitality. Ayappan from the pool staff was especially kind and professional, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable there. We also appreciated how polite and helpful the staff were throughout. Elephant Court, Thekkady has a peaceful green setting close to nature. The spacious rooms mix modern comforts with traditional touches, and the whole property feels well maintained and thoughtfully designed. There’s a calm sense of luxury here. We left with lovely memories and will definitely return. Highly recommend.

The personal care from the staff made our stay at Hotel Elephant Court memorable. At dinner, Salma from reception came around to every table to see whether people were comfortable or needed help. She was attentive, helpful, and always smiling. I loved Chef Rajesh’s cannelloni so much that I rather shyly asked for the recipe. He said he’d write it down, and the next morning at breakfast he waited until I’d finished, then gave me the handwritten recipe. He even shared his number when I asked in case I needed help making it. I really appreciated that generosity. During meals, I also saw him in the dining area keeping an eye on guests’ needs, instead of just stepping away once the cooking was done. That kind of hospitality makes a difference. We loved the chai time, and the classical dance was outstanding. The rooms and grounds were exceptionally clean, and the pool was spotless with comfortable water. Sunada at the spa gave an excellent massage, and Ayapan was friendly and helpful. Pleasant was lovely and took special care of us, always recommending what to order so we wouldn’t waste food. Diya was very friendly and helpful too. The food was delicious every day, with something for everyone. We loved our stay.

We could happily have stayed longer at The Elephant Court, and would come back. The buffet at breakfast and dinner gave us a chance to try different dishes, and we enjoyed them all. We also loved seeing monkeys from our balcony. The rooms were clean, airy, and had large beds, and it was great to have a cot for our one year old. The staff were lovely, especially Shifana and Ayyapan, the pool attendant, though I may have got the name wrong. He brought toys for my one year old and made sure we had everything we needed. Shifana was so friendly and kept checking that we were all happy. We visited the nearby national park for a relaxing river boat tour and saw lots of birds, including kingfishers. My husband and friends also did a two hour trek in the same park. Even in pouring rain, they had a great time spotting elephant tracks and tiger marks, and seeing many bird species.
