The Rain Tree Resort

The staff were so warm and helpful, always ready to lend a hand with a smile. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a balcony looking out over the forest and tea plantations. The resort in Tholpetty, Wayanad, is surrounded by greenery, and the quiet sounds of nature made a lovely change from city life. I had a refreshing stay and thought it was good value. I’d recommend it for a family trip, a couple’s break, or a solo getaway.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The cottages are cozy and tucked into thick greenery beside the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. The Rain Tree Resort is a lovely quiet place to get away from the noise and spend time in nature.

We’d checked with them in advance, and they said the resort was being renovated but that two rooms were ready, so our family went ahead and came. We got there at 11 o’clock and found the room had not been cleaned. There was no AC, just a standing fan, and the bathroom had no light. In the living room, only one light worked. One of the worst experiences we’ve had.

The service was very poor, and there was no food available.
