OYO 23503 Golden Valley Residency

I stayed at Capital O Kovilakam Residency for 3 days and found it comfortable and good value for a 3-star hotel. My deluxe room could accommodate up to 3 adults, had an access card entry, and came with AC and tea/coffee maker options. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. Staff were very polite and helpful. The location makes the city and nearby temples, an ATM, and other things easy to reach. The property also has a restaurant, conference room, BAR, and parking facility. Food was good, with room service available. The toilet had hot water, towels, soap, shampoo, and basic items, though it was satisfactory and could use improvement.

The Veg meals and Fish meals from the in-house restaurant were decent and tasty, but good food couldn't make up for how poor the cleanliness and comfort were. I stayed for over 10 days across several rooms, and every room and bathroom had cockroaches. The corridors and floors outside smelled constantly of filthy, unattended trash. Staff said pest control happened weekly, though I found it hard to believe any effective treatment was taking place. I even saw bed bugs in the elevator, which was shocking and unacceptable for a hotel. Hygiene and maintenance were far below what guests should have to tolerate. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you genuinely enjoy sharing your stay with cockroaches, bugs, and persistent foul odors.

The receptionist was very rude and had a bad attitude. Check-in and check-out both took a long time.

We booked 5-6 rooms for 5 days, but the rooms, especially the toilets, were bad and stinky. We raised the issue with their GM and owners, but it persisted. Not a good place for a family.
