PLA CT Nest

The lodge is on the third floor of a commercial building and is near Rohini Hospital. The rooms are clean and neat, but there's no restaurant on the property. For food or other purchases, you have to rely on the receptionist's help to get things from outside. Breakfast is complimentary, but you need to go to their other property, PLA residency near Railway station, so getting there on time can be difficult. If you have no other place to stay in Thanjore, it could work for an overnight stay.

The room and sheets were clean, the AC worked properly, and the hot water was good. The staff were polite and helpful, getting me dinner and finding another room when the hotel was full. I gave one star because I was overcharged. As a solo traveller, I stayed in rooms 103 (Standard) and 108 (Economy), but was charged 1700rs per night instead of 1470rs and 1365rs. Check the charges carefully before paying.

A peaceful stay in a prime spot, with Sathram bus stand, good restaurants nearby, and malaikottai about a 12 minute drive away. Hotstar is provided, but cable TV with local Tamil content isn't available. It's tucked down a small pathway, so the hotel can be hard to find from the approach road. The area is busy, and if you miss the turn you'll have to make multiple u turns.
