The managers stood out during my five days at Hotel Plaza, Trichy. The General Manager and Front Office Manager were professional, coordinated things well, and clearly focused on looking after guests. The staff were polite and helpful too, and housekeeping came regularly. My room was spacious, clean, and better than it was on my previous visit, so the stay felt peaceful and comfortable even over several days. The hotel is well placed for getting around Trichy, and I thought it was good value for money. I’d recommend it to people visiting the city and would gladly stay here again.

I reached Plaza Hotels at 9 PM, already exhausted, and the room problems made for a terrible stay. The lights weren’t working, none of the three-pin sockets worked for charging my phone, and water was leaking. There was no hot water, and water was also coming from the AC. The service and response were awful.

Breakfast was served in a clean, central space, and the food tasted excellent. The medu vadai was really crispy and the pongal was yummy. There was a live dosa counter with Kelloggs and milk, plus tea, coffee, milk, and Horlicks.

We came from connoor and arrived at night, after calling in the afternoon to book a room. They had told us to come directly and said they would arrange it, but no room had been arranged. At reception they scolded us in very bad words in front of our child. He got frightened and cried a lot. The reception service was very bad. I’d give this zero.

The service was excellent, but the cleanliness was very poor. My room was dusty, there was chewing gum stuck to the bed frame, and the toilet was very dirty, with strands of hair around. There were mosquitoes too. I stayed here in 2015 and expected the rooms to be clean like they were then, but I was wrong.
