I’d avoid this place. My guests had travelled a long way for an important family function, so I booked for them through Booking.com 12 days ahead, choosing “Pay at Hotel.” I got the usual automated confirmation. Soon after, a woman claiming to be from management called, sent me a format on WhatsApp, and asked me to resend guest details and pay the full amount upfront by UPI that same day, threatening cancellation even though the booking was pay at hotel. To protect my guests from any risk, I paid, sent a screenshot of the UPI payment, and provided everything she requested. After that, there was no confirmation, receipt, or acknowledgement. My WhatsApp messages were seen but ignored, and follow-up calls were cut off immediately. Worried it was a scam, I went to the property. There was no reception. An elderly man at the entrance said he was in charge, but knew nothing about the booking, the payment, the Booking.com reservation, or the person who had taken the money. The people handling payment and running the property seemed to have no coordination. The elderly man assured me my guests could enter, but on check-in day they were refused entry without a valid reason and kept waiting for over an hour. They were allowed in only after I intervened remotely. After the long journey, my guests, who were well-groomed working professionals, had a miserable, sleepless night. They went to my family function the next day exhausted and distressed. Taking advance payment on a Pay-at-Hotel booking, then going silent with no receipt or confirmation, denying entry, and creating this much chaos is completely unacceptable. A red flag, extremely unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs.
