OYO Flagship 061 Tirupati Railway Station

I stayed for one day during our Tirupati pilgrimage and would call the place a "Cattle Shed." I booked an A/C room, but the experience was awful: dirty bathrooms, a torn bed, unwashed sheets, a bad smell, cockroaches, and terrible food. There was no kettle, and the staff had a huge attitude. They wouldn't even give us a bottle of drinking water. There are plenty of good hotels in and around Tirupati, so don't choose this one or you'll regret it. I'd give it minus 100 if I could; one star is the lowest available.

We arrived at Hotel Udayee International on January 16th, and the whole stay was a nightmare. Before we paid, they showed us a room with a king-size bed and a single bed. As soon as payment went through, they moved us to a different room with just two single beds. It felt like a bait-and-switch. The bathroom wasn't clean or sanitized, and we found a leech in the washroom, a serious health and safety concern. There was no water in the room, or even any to flush the toilet. When we complained several times, the man at the front desk was dismissive, indifferent, and refused to listen or take corrective action. They took our money and gave us a room that was barely habitable. This hotel is a scam. Save your money and your health, and book somewhere else.

I had this experience a year ago, so I'm not sure what it's like now. The room smelled a little, though I couldn't tell if it was the room or the bed. The AC made loud noises all night, and there were bed bugs and cockroaches in the bed, biting us. The bathrooms were pathetic, with loose connections, and maintenance was awful. Don't trust the photos on MakeMyTrip or other sites, they may be from when the hotel was first built. I'd never try this hotel again.

We confirmed early check-in with Iris Hotel Tirupati several times before arriving, but once there, we were told there was an “issue” and that all guests were being moved elsewhere. We had no choice but to go to Udayee International, which was in terrible condition and nowhere near the promised standard. There was no compensation or accountability for the forced change, and staff kept bothering us about checkout even though our booking ran until the next day. The rooms were poorly kept and unhygienic. The ACs and geysers didn't work, there was little ventilation, no Wi-Fi, poor mobile reception, and the room phones were out of order. Staff were unresponsive and service was extremely poor. This completely ruined our stay. I strongly recommend avoiding both Iris Hotel and Udayee International if comfort, hygiene, and basic professionalism matter to you.
