Comfort Inn Udaipur

The location is a strong point: right on the main road at pratapnagar chauraha, close to all kinds of shops. But the service felt like an hourly transit stay, not a hotel. There were no toiletries, kettle, towels or water, and nobody seemed to care about changing the bedsheets daily. Breakfast had just two or three options, idli sambhar and puri bhaji. When I asked room service for a towel, they asked if I needed one. I was staying for four days! Is this a real comfort inn or a first copy? Udaipur runs on hospitality, so where are guests supposed to go if this is how they're treated?

I confirmed a double occupancy room a month ahead, but at check-in they gave us a single occupancy room. Staff said every double room had already been sold and told us to “adjust,” which wasn't acceptable with a confirmed booking. In the room, most of the lights didn't work and there was no hot water at all. The poor management and lack of basic amenities made this the worst hotel experience we've had. After this, I won't recommend the hotel to anyone, and I'll share my feedback on public platforms so other travelers know.

The staff's attitude was the worst part. They argued and made excuses instead of helping, and management didn't seem to care. They were rude and unprofessional, with no sense of hospitality or idea how to run a hotel. The service was zero. We booked two days for a couple but were given a twin-bed room. When we asked to change it the next day, the receptionist said, “Give me your key, I’ll get it done.” Nothing had changed when we returned, and the room hadn't been cleaned either. It seemed like they didn't know the first thing about running a hotel, just playing hotel among themselves. The room was poorly maintained, the sheets were dirty, and basic things like water and toiletries weren't provided on time. It felt more like a cheap lodge than a hotel. A horrible, scary stay, and a total waste of money, comfort and time. Even a roadside dharamshala would treat guests better. I'd strongly advise everyone to stay away.

The place was clean, comfortable and well cared for, but Manju and Mahendi really made the stay memorable. They were attentive, polite and always ready to help with a smile, making me feel welcome. I truly appreciate how much they did. Highly recommended!
