Hotel Amantran Inn - City Centre

We appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out in the morning, since our bus wasn't until evening. The rooms were clean, and we chose a smaller, cheaper one because we only needed somewhere to sleep. Staff were polite and helpful, and having plenty of parking was really convenient. The name “City Centre” is a little misleading because the hotel isn't actually in the old city, so you'll need a vehicle to get around. We liked being away from the traffic and crowds, though, and the nearby mall was a bonus. Overall, we had a nice stay, found it good value, and would recommend it.

Madan was helpful whenever we needed anything and was very cooperative throughout our stay. The room felt cozy, and with the area so quiet, we slept peacefully. We had a pretty good stay.

Madan was especially helpful in planning our three days around the city. We booked three nights during the New Year rush on a spur-of-the-moment road trip, and the price still felt reasonable for peak season. The room was spacious and clean, and there was parking. It’s about 3-4 km from the main palace, but we enjoyed staying here.

The room had no window or proper ventilation, and the key holder was broken. Water also backed up in the bathroom because the drains were blocked. During our two nights, housekeeping never came, so neither the room nor the washroom was cleaned. Even getting an extra towel took more than 40 minutes. We were told only one small bottle of drinking water per day was free, with no extra water available. The lack of basic service and amenities was really disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless things improve a lot.
