Jai Villa Homestay

Uma was especially kind and attentive when I fell ill, and talking with her was so much fun. Her food is unbelievable, especially the masala chai, and her lively spirit and energy really stood out. I stayed with Uma, her lovely family, and the helpers, and felt comfortable and peaceful straight away. The room was spacious, clean, well cared for, and well conditioned for the summer heat. It’s off the street and much quieter than the rest of the city. At the back there’s a lovely terrace with a view of the hills, where you can hear the street chatter in the morning. To get into town, it’s a 15 min, 150-200 rupee tuktuk ride to the city palace in the Old City. Thanks for such a warm, peaceful stay. I hope to come back soon.

Jai Villa and Udaipur were a wonderful experience. Uma was welcoming and helpful, and we loved chatting with her. She taught us about Rajasthani culture and made our stay and visits around Udaipur so pleasant. The food was great too. 100% recommend! Thanks again ;))

I spent a couple of days at Jai Villa homestay. It’s in a peaceful area, close to the main city, and well maintained with all the necessary things. The hosts were so kind that after a while they felt more like relatives than hosts.

The family were fantastic hosts, gracious, friendly, and really interesting to talk with. Staying here was one of my best experiences in India. The rooms were gorgeous, the views were great, everything was so clean, and the food and terrace were amazing. A true pleasure to stay here, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
