The food in the restaurant was poor, there was no WiFi, and the reception staff behaved very badly. Online booking customers should be careful: they suddenly asked me to pay for an extra day. During the argument, the receptionist told us we could stay until 2 pm, though we'd already locked the room at 11 am. Mr. Owner, did you check who spoke rudely over the phone? Someone else was sitting there during billing and spoke politely. Please ask the reception employee to speak more gently.

The hotel itself was fine at the price it asked, but booking through MakeMyTrip was a very bad experience. The portal charged me 1000 RS more for the same room I could easily have booked offline for less. That has changed how I feel about online booking, or at least using MakeMyTrip. They didn't seem willing to correct the charge or address the issue for future customers. I wouldn't recommend booking through that portal.

The rooms are spacious, but upkeep isn't good. I found two cockroaches in the room, and the blanket had no cover. They also left the broken dustbin unreplaced.

The staff are the best part, so kind, respectful, and helpful. Beds are huge and clean, comfort is top class, and parking is free. Amazing service for one of the best low-cost hotels.

We stayed for two days, and the hotel and staff were nice. Vedanta Restaurant is attached, and the food there was very good. We visited Gokarna, Murudeswar, and Mookambika temples from Udupi in one day, so I think staying in Udupi is ideal for covering all three places in a day.
