I stayed for two weeks in February with a large group of travelers visiting Ujjain for an academic study. The hotel is small, and the rooms and toilets were average. Staff cleaned them only when asked, there wasn’t really an attached restaurant, and there was no lift. I noticed that only a few rooms had windows that opened outside. The room I stayed in had only a frosted glass window that couldn’t be opened. I’d say it’s a good option for budget travelers on a short stay.

This was a very bad hotel and not a safe place to stay. We’d already booked through trip.com, but they told us the website wasn’t available. How could trip.com let this hotel appear on its site? After we couldn’t find another place, we stayed here for more money. The room was untidy and unclean. Please don’t stay here, and don’t trust this hotel.

The staff ignored our concerns, and the geysers barely worked. We had to ask three or four times before anyone brought a towel, and even then we couldn't get clean water, a jug, or hot water. Google doesn't let you leave a negative star, or I'd rate Hotel Nakoda Paradise below zero.

The rooms were spacious and nice, and the location made everything easy to reach. Mahakal Mandir is just 1 km away. Worth the stay.

The toilets were cramped and terribly dirty, and they even charged for bottles. The owner backed his staff and argued instead of helping. One staff member was decent, but most were rude or strange. One of them flung open a door without knocking while going to another room. The only real plus was being next to nanakheda stadium, with a few nice restaurants like sagar caire nearby. Checkout was a mess. They kept ringing the bell every half hour and rushed us, even though we'd discussed checkout when we arrived at 10 pm. They wouldn't let us stay until 12 as they'd agreed, and wanted 500 for an extra hour. We had to wake our child and pack up in a hurry, then were forced out within 15 minutes while it was around 45 degrees outside. They also kept switching off the AC and geyser while we were in the room. Each time, we had to go downstairs and ask reception to turn the electricity back on.
