Hotel Alpha Vadodara

I’m a tourist from GUNTUR, ANDHRA PRADESH. Sun He, one of the hotel owners, is a very good guy, and the staff were excellent. Nice hotel.

The washroom had stains and was dirty, and the comforters were dirty too. There was no provision for hot water. Breakfast was okay, but even the tea cup hadn’t been washed. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly.

I travel a lot for business and I’m a hotelier myself, but this was a very bad experience. I lost money, and they kept asking me for two days’ charges for a total stay of 29 hours, even though I’d already paid extra for early check-in. That amount and the non-AC room charge had been discussed with the person at the counter. I checked in at 5 AM. An employee, or possibly one of the owners, said no other rooms were available and offered me the only room for 1200, while it was showing as 900 online, because I’d arrived early. At checkout at 11 AM, which is the standard checkout time around India, the other member of the family came asking for more money. The person who had offered me the room was on leave. I told them about 100 times that I’d paid an extra 300 for early check-in, or whatever the reason was that I’d discussed with that person. The other owner and his son argued with me about extra days’ charges and even threatened to charge for a third day if I waited any longer to check out. They should have called the person who made the deal to clear things up, instead of arguing nonstop and blackmailing me. If anyone goes, get the bill early. They ask for more money later. Cheater hotel.

The rooms were cozy and economical, and room service and breakfast were good. A good place to stay in Vadodara.
