Raoji Homestay is right in central Valparai, in the middle of the market. We were given a very average room for one night at a very high price, without basic facilities. They asked for the full amount as soon as we agreed to take it, so we had no other option. The bed and pillows were very old, and the room had two noisy table fans with old switches. The bathroom toilet had a broken water gun. I wouldn’t recommend it for a family, though bachelors could manage.

I paid the full amount, but the receptionist marked my Booking.com booking as a "no-show" to avoid paying commission. They charged me GST too, then refused to give me an invoice! 😡😡

We had a really nice stay as a group of 5. The staff were polite and helpful, and free Wi-Fi was available. The room was clean and neat, and cheap for what you get. It’s near the Valparai post office bus stop and very close to the main bus stand, with good access to all the tourist spots.

The toilet facilities were good, and the pillows and bedspread were very clean. It’s a budget-friendly homestay in Valparai.
