We stayed at pulari gardens for three nights and four days. The rooms were really tidy and well maintained, and so was the whole property. I had a studio with a nice balcony, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was edible. It’s very close to the cliff, the liveliest spot in varkala, and other city sights are within 20 km at most, so getting around is mostly easy. If you’re outdoorsy and don’t need things like a pool, an in-house restaurant, or play zones, this place has what you need.

The staff were friendly and the property was neat, but there are several drawbacks. There’s no food apart from breakfast, and breakfast is limited to bread, butter, and eggs. Staff numbers are limited as well. With such few amenities, it doesn’t feel like a resort and would be better described as pulari guest house.

A decent homestay, but it’s not a hotel. I’d say anything over 1200 per day is expensive. We booked because we couldn’t find a place for four families travelling together. There was no power backup, no fresh tea or coffee, and no breakfast.

I stayed two nights and had a really pleasant time. It’s close to Varkala beach, quiet, and the staff were helpful. The owner is a very good man. I’d highly recommend staying here.

They respect guests’ privacy, and the place is easy to find right near the main road. Check-in is normally at 2 pm, but if you arrive early, they’ll let you leave your luggage in a safe room until then.
