OYO 72156 Akshaya Inn

The photos on OYO looked very good, but after checking in I found the room extremely unhygienic. The sheets felt like many people had left semen on them. The bathroom was filthy too, the taps were sticky and didn’t work properly, and the lights were fused. I wouldn’t visit with family, or even alone. Better to find a lodge near the railway station or pay more somewhere you feel safe.

The bed smelled bad, the washroom was awful, and the cupboards were filled with condoms. There was no AC or TV, and people kept knocking for no reason. Even though I had booked, they charged me another 500 rupees. It wasn’t worth 1500 rupees at all. Try not to go.

There’s no proper maintenance, and the dorms smell strongly of cigarettes. I even saw alcohol bottles there. It may not be a good place for girls during their periods, and it might not suit a family vacation either. Don’t book this place.

I booked two rooms and called ahead, but they told me there was no booking in my name. It was around midnight, and I was left roaming the streets with a small child and elderly people looking for a hotel. OYO’s team seemed useless: they called several nearby properties linked to OYO, but nobody answered. How are we supposed to trust OYO after an experience like this? Pathetic. No rating for this.
