Hotel Sri Sai Grand Central by Oyo

The bed was in good shape, but the rest of the room was in a sorry state. The place looks like it hasn't been maintained in ages: no dustbin, a broken flush and furniture, and a wardrobe so dusty it wasn't clean. Service was nonexistent, and nobody offered us boys drinking water. The room-cleaning woman asked for tips, while the receptionist spoke to us politely, as that's her job. At this high price, the service is still zero. 😞

The room itself was clean and looked good, and the TV worked well. They'd also bring things from the market straight to the room if we asked. Those positives are why three stars seems fair, but there were plenty of hassles. Nobody explained what amenities were available, so we had to ask for everything, and the intercom to the front desk didn't work, meaning we were expected to call from our own phones. The balcony was dusty and poorly maintained, with peeling patches and broken pipes. They said the solar heaters were off for summer, so there was no hot water. Even in an AC room, I don't expect to have to bathe in cold water just because it's summer.

Jagadamba Junction is close by, right in the town center, and that's about the main thing this place has going for it. The facilities are poor, and the price is high for what's provided. Water was poor, cleanliness average, and there was no WiFi. The staff's manner was average with us as North Indians, though I can't say how they treat South Indian people. The mattress was clean and AC rooms were available. Think before booking. Good luck 😊

The room smelled bad and didn't seem to get cleaned regularly. The curtains, bedsheets, covers, and doormats weren't changed, and the place was unmaintained and unhygienic. It also didn't look like the photos on the Oyo website, and the owner wasn't following any COVID-19 protocols. Staff room service was very poor, and the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Money wasted. I wouldn't use Oyo again or recommend booking this hotel through them. It's not reliable.
