The Govindam Resort

Our wedding at Govindam Resort, Vrindavan last month went brilliantly, and our guests were impressed. The team handled everything smoothly from beginning to end, from comfortable rooms to delicious catering and beautiful décor. Everyone was cooperative and attentive, and we're grateful they helped make our special day so memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better venue.

We stayed one night in an executive family room. The rooms were spacious, clean, and attractive, the restaurant food was nice and reasonably priced, and the staff were helpful. The two drawbacks were the location and bathroom. It's a bit far from the main temple area, and when Vrindavan traffic barricades are up, getting there and back becomes very difficult. We ended up walking more than 5-6 kms. The bathroom was cramped, with poor fittings and very low water pressure, and the heating was bad too.

The rooms were spacious and the interiors looked decent, but management and service ruined what was meant to be a long-planned trip. We booked two rooms for 13 Dec 2025 - 15 Dec 2025. Mr. Krishna at reception was rude and disrespectful, with no basic courtesy, empathy, or respect. In Vrindavan, where visitors expect peace and courtesy, that behaviour was shocking. When we arrived at 9:30 AM, after confirming by phone the day before that we'd have at least one room to freshen up and let one person bathe, they refused to give us even one. They then asked for ₹1500 to use a room for 10-15 minutes, in front of our whole team of seven. It was embarrassing and felt like a false promise and unprofessional conduct. They didn't provide normal drinking water, instead giving us packaged bottles to pay for, without asking what we preferred. We had to keep calling and begging for every little thing. The bonfire had been promised before booking and advertised as an amenity, but staff said their duty was over and wouldn't arrange it. We had to set up the lawn chairs ourselves, and even getting the paid water bottles took repeated follow-ups. The toilet wouldn't flush, and staff told us to keep pouring water from a bucket. The door closer was broken; although vacant rooms were available, they wouldn't change our room. The poor management, humiliating treatment, and rude staff spoiled the trip we'd spent a long time planning. I strongly don't recommend The Govindam Resort to families, teams, or spiritual travelers. The room size and interiors were good, but management was awful, service was pathetic, staff disrespectful, and guest handling showed zero professionalism.

The rooms were spacious and clean, but the washroom wasn't. There's no partition between the toilet and bathing area. Also, when guests check out, both resort guards expect some kind of money from them.
