Hotel O Star Inn

They didn't respond properly, and I didn't feel good about the experience.

We were four people and the two beds were enough for us. The room was neat and well looked after, and the bathroom was clean too. We stayed just one night.

The rooms and toilets were clean, and the location is convenient for Ashoka restaurants and temples such as 1000 pillar temple and Badrakalli temple. Still, I wouldn't pay more than 1800 rupees for a room here. If it's over that, you're paying too much. The hotel is small, there's no lift, and the stairs are steep. Since the rooms start on the 1st floor, everyone has to use the stairs, which won't suit older people. There are no windows in the rooms either. My main problem was the booking through OYO. I called customer care about a booking at Ramya Inn to ask for details and the price. They said it was 3200 per room, even though OYO's portal showed 2700. When I questioned that, they told me the portal data hadn't been refreshed and I'd have to pay another 500 at the hotel even if I paid 2700 online. I booked four rooms on the portal at 2700 each, but this was confusing. At check-in, the hotel wouldn't let us in because I'd listed 1 guest per room, while we were actually 2 adults and 2 kids in each. I misunderstood the guest count on the portal and thought it meant people in addition to the usual 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel told me to call customer care and sort it out. I called, was put on hold for 15 mins, then disconnected. In the end, I paid the hotel extra to check in. I'm highly dissatisfied with OYO and would never book through them again.

The hotel itself was excellent, but the booking arrangement was a problem. I reserved for 3 occupants, though the hotel only has rooms for two, with no extra beds available.
