Sri Durga Residency

The rooms are neat and clean, and the main room has a good view. A good fit for a family.

I had a good stay at Sri Durga Residency. Its location is convenient for sightseeing, very close to Yercaud Lake and the main viewpoints. The place is clean and well maintained, with spacious rooms that were comfortable. Staff and management were friendly and helpful throughout, and we had what we needed. It seems like a peaceful, convenient option for exploring Yercaud, especially for friends and couples.

I checked out early the next morning because there was no water in the room, and the problem still hadn't been resolved. Then I had to find another hotel just to freshen up. Nobody was there to take the key, so I left it at reception and went. I asked for a refund since we left partway through and nobody had taken care of our needs, but they still haven't responded. I ended up filing a consumer case online. I've been traveling since 2005, and this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in over 15 years. It was very unfortunate that I brought my family; this place is strictly not for families. I never saw anyone sitting at reception or anyone offering water. The rooms weren't clean, and the water heater had issues. At first I thought they might be busy, but none of the problems had been fixed by the next morning. The manager and some groups of people only came around midnight, and they weren't in a good position to hear our concerns. I didn't approach them. Strictly not for families.

Rooms are really good and feel safe for families. It's close to Sky Park and Pagoda view point, and there is a restaurant on the second floor, but the prices are too high. If you need food, you have to go near the boat house. No complimentary option is available. Prices go up during the season, especially on weekends, compared with normal days.
