SS Silver Oaks Resort

This was a nightmare for us. We had booked the hotel and received confirmation, then travelled 4.5 hours with my parents and 2 year old child. Once we arrived, they told us the booking had been cancelled so they could accommodate other guests. I’ve travelled across India and outside the country, and I’ve never had a shock like this. The receptionist was casual about it, gave no proper response, and didn’t even apologize for their mistake. The worst experience of my life.

I stayed here during 24th-26th Jan and regret booking two nights. The room was extremely small, and in Room# 206 the bathroom flush didn’t work. WiFi was pathetic, while restaurant service was extremely slow and the food below average. When I raised my dissatisfaction with the room, the receptionist suggested I find another hotel. The location also isn’t accessible to food or shopping places unless you have your own vehicle.

Guests describe rude, unprofessional service and staff who seem poorly trained. Some say they were dismissed, spoken to abusively, or ignored while staff were unavailable or distracted, such as watching TV. Problems with noise and cleanliness reportedly went unaddressed. Complaints span reception and housekeeping, leaving guests feeling disrespected and showing a failure in basic hospitality and customer care.

The rooms aren’t especially large, but what stood out was the care from the staff. I was here with my family and young child, and they were very helpful and considerate. It’s heartening to find that kind of genuine hospitality. One of the best places I’ve stayed for service.
