The gym and service are great, and the food is amazing. It’s also one of the best coffee spots in Baghdad. A great location and a 5-star boutique hotel that really looks after you. I’d book early.

The people here made the stay feel luxurious from the moment we arrived. They clearly put real care into looking after guests, beyond the amenities. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was magnificent. V Hotel is definitely one of the better places to stay in Baghdad.
The rooms are good, but service was quite poor. The man with glasses at reception, I’m not sure of his name, was rude and didn’t know how to greet customers. Breakfast was limited and only so-so. The person in charge didn’t understand what I meant by breads, and he couldn’t understand English either. That part was okay, but he called the manager, who was no help. He just said they didn’t have it and walked away. If that’s how the manager behaves, it’s hard to expect better from the rest of the staff. The hotel is small, and the pool area isn’t a good place to relax. It feels like the pool was added just to have one. When you charge USD 200 for a room, close to Rotana’s rate of USD 250, the service should be at that level. That’s a big thing missing here. I wouldn’t recommend staying if the price is over USD 150.
The only drawback was the wait at check-in. There was just one person at the desk, and it took a long time. Otherwise, it’s a nice modern hotel with great rooms and a good town location. Samad, a good Iraqi restaurant, is within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is nice, and the Wi-Fi works well. I strongly recommend it.
We were a group of 10 and booked 3 rooms, all at reasonable prices. Every room was modern, spotless, and had quality amenities. The staff were very welcoming, and they handled all our requests, including laundry. The breakfast had plenty of choice, from traditional Iraqi dishes to continental options, with a thoughtful East meets West feel. The new restaurant opened while we were there. Hotel guests get 10% off, and the menu is varied, with high-end food at reasonable prices. It worked well for family dinners or a relaxed evening with refreshments. You can sit inside in the air conditioning or outside in a relaxing area. The location is excellent too: Bestoon Samad, serving Iraqi, Lebanese, and Syrian food, is a 5-minute walk away. Jadriyah mall is 10 minutes on foot, and Mado is across the road, about a 5-minute walk. Highly recommended for business or leisure. We’ll be back soon, inshallah!
