Sheykhbahaie Hotel

The room rates felt high for Iranian guests, though they seemed reasonable compared with other hotels in Isfahan and abroad. The hotel was stylish, clean, and pleasant, with courteous staff. Breakfast was very good and had plenty of choice.

The location is convenient for the city's historic sights, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and furnished in a modern style. Reception staff were good. But the parking area only holds four cars, there's no food service in the rooms, and outlets are scarce. The Wi-Fi was very slow. Although the hotel advertises satellite TV, there was no satellite access, and even some Iranian channels were unavailable. The room lighting was poor too. Even with a "Do not disturb" sign hung outside, staff knocked and sometimes opened the door without permission to ask whether we had clothes for laundry.

The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms clean, and the chambermaids respectful. From the fourth floor there's a nice view over Isfahan. We did have trouble with the room lock because the RFID cards were missing, so we had to call reception each time we wanted to get in.

The staff at reception were lovely and spoke English fluently. There was a good range of breakfast choices and plenty of services for guests. The price seemed fairly reasonable for the facilities. I'd choose this hotel again if I come back to Isfahan.
