Ferdowsi International Grand Hotel

The bed sheets were clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had some aging fixtures that need replacing, including the water taps, bathroom fan, and sewage disposal. The air conditioner also makes a loud noise that could bother you.

The hospitality and friendly staff make up for a lot. Special thanks to Nigar Banu, who went out of her way to help when I couldn't get my currency exchanged. I hope I got your name right. She's a real asset to the hotel, thank you again. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the location is excellent, close to almost all Tehran's historical sites. My room was quaint and a little dated, and I could clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms. Breakfast choices are limited and could be expanded. Even so, I'll certainly recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was great. The rooms, though, need a solid renovation, and the service could be much better for the price. We saw two rooms after asking to move because the window in the first one wouldn't open. You can tell this used to be a good hotel, but it seems to have been abused.

This was one of my worst hotel stays. I planned to pay in dollars, but the receptionist didn't like the ten-dollar bills. I let her pick the bills she preferred, and she tried to slip an extra $20 into her hand. Really silly. The bathroom was filthy, with a dead black mosquito on the bath floor, and the toilet didn't work. Asking for a repair got nowhere. I didn't have the energy to ask that same receptionist for another room.
