After five long days of road-tripping around Iceland, this was just right. Our room was beautiful, en suite, warm, and had a view; the bed was comfortable, and we could make coffee or tea. There was plenty of free parking, and the town centre was only a five-minute walk away, yet it was still very quiet.

It's in a good location, with plenty of parking, and we all slept really well. The house has an old wooden smell that I liked, alongside its updated look, especially the modern bathroom on the second floor. I do wish there had been a microwave or some basic kitchen gear, though.

You can't beat the location, and the host was welcoming. The room is old but comfortable, with free tea and coffee. Finding parking was tricky: it's a corner house up a hill on a main street, so you have to depend on limited street parking. Our only small gripe was the first-floor room's two large windows facing the entrance and sidewalk. We couldn't leave the curtains open because people could see right in.

We had a comfortable stay over the two days, and the room was spacious. The elderly host took such care with everything and seemed to treat running the accommodation as a personal mission. I even saw him painting the walls himself; it really showed how much care and love for life he puts into it. Wishing him all the best for the future, good luck!

Really good value for money, and I'd highly recommend it for a stay in Akureyri. The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was great, with both a bathtub and shower. Check-in was easy, and the receptionist was warm, kind, and helpful.
